My Plan for a Safer Cheshire - manifesto launch, day 2
Commenting on the second and final day of his "Safer Cheshire" manifesto launch, John said:
"I've had another fantastic day across Cheshire launching my manifesto to deliver the safest county in the country. Today I visited Nantwich with Edward Timpson MP, Congleton with Fiona Bruce MP, Macclesfield with David Rutley MP, Alderley Edge and Culcheth near Warrington. I'm so grateful to everyone who has supported this launch - members, supporters and members of the public. In two days I've been to every corner of Cheshire with my team, promoting my positive message and vision for a safer county - it has been a superb start to the campaign.
"Whilst we were on the streets today, Cheshire Constabulary announced they will be opening the recruitment lines for Police Constables on 18 April 2016. This is hugely positive news. Police officer numbers are increasing in Cheshire and we are actively recruiting more to keep our communities safer, just as I have promised. For information visit: http://ow.ly/10jAqd".
