Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Liz Truss MP, visits Knutsford
Commenting on the visit, John said:
"I had the opportunity to welcome Liz Truss MP, Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, to the farm of Tony Millington near Knutsford today. We met with Tony and his colleagues from the area to discuss rural crime and topical issues for those in our farming community.
Tony, together with local farmers nearby, volunteered with Cheshire Police to assist with an operation in rural areas to tackle suspicious activity. This was an overnight exercise and was so successful it is to be repeated in other parts of Cheshire, and is being rolled out in other Force Areas (including North Wales.)
I've focused on rural crime and initiatives for the rural communities of Cheshire in my time as Police and Crime Commissioner and will do so again if re-elected on Thursday 5th May."
