Conservative Candidate for the Police and Crime Commissioner elections in November, John Dwyer, joined a social action campaign to clear litter around Hunts Lock in Northwich on Friday 20th July. John rolled up his sleeves with a dozen young volunteers and spent the afternoon filling sacks up with litter.

Conservatives in Cheshire have chosen former Assistant Chief Constable, John Dwyer, as their candidate to contest the Police and Crime Commissioner elections in November. John was selected by over 150 party members in Weaverham on Saturday 30th July, following a strongly competitive process.
John Dwyer is standing to be the Conservative candidate for Police Commissioner in Cheshire. This will be a challenging role with a mandate to bring democratic accountability to policing in the force area. To help communicate with you, he has launched this new website.

Cheshire Police will be given a mental health triage service 24/7 to ensure that those suffering mental health issues, who have committed no crime, can be given a place of safety for treatment rather than a police cell
